Farnoosh is a competent, passionate, and comprehensive young planner who is fully embracing the unique professional opportunities provided in a regional council role, while emerging as a future leader in the profession through her active involvement in the institute and support of cross-industry collaboration.
Farnoosh stands out among other nominees due to the extent of her involvement in and support for professional development initiatives. While Farnoosh is currently the Queensland Young Planners convenor, the panel noted her three years of proactive involvement in the committee, supporting the advancement of fellow young professionals through involvement in delivering successful professional development events, social media and marketing communications that have ensured that the committee continues its long-running success.
A supporter of Farnoosh’s nomination stated that “Farnoosh is thoughtful and engaging and has a strong ethical foundation in her approach to being a planner” - and these qualities are clearly evident in her professional success to date.
Thanks to her contributions to the profession and her passion for the development of young planning professionals, the judges were in no doubt that Farnoosh is a deserving Young Planner of the Year for 2022.
