PROJECT

Albion Revitalisation Project

The strategies and actions within this project are multi-faceted and have the potential to deliver high quality outcomes for the reinvigoration of Albion, creating a unique community identity and a legacy beyond the 2032 Brisbane Olympics Games. The masterplan includes a comprehensive engagement approach, and the planning methodology would be transferrable to other revitalisation projects.

The Judges were impressed by the practical and pragmatic approach taken in this beautifully presented and clearly well researched project. The project demonstrates a high level of teamwork and a good understanding of planning practices ordinarily expected of qualified professionals. The objectives were clear and focussed on a good understanding of the challenges, while the proposed interventions were well aligned with the identified issues.
