This award is awarded to the City of Stirling’s Development Services – Planning team to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and innovation the team has shown in providing a modern and streamlined planning service.
The City demonstrated it continually engages in a comprehensive reform process to identify and implement improvements to benefit all its customers. The planning service team operates an agile structure with staff gaining experience and diversity through annual team rotations. The team also collaborates in multi-disciplinary teams to assess and determine complex planning matters and achieve high-quality planning outcomes.
In addition to being responsive to the State Government’s planning reform agenda, the City of Stirling Development Services Planning Team provides a benchmark in how local government can work with industry to implement meaningful local planning reform and simultaneously deliver professional development opportunities for the planners.
